What Parents Are Saying
Before finding Reading Friends of Keller, we researched nearly every school in the DFW area. No one matches the quality of education that our young learners have received at Reading Friends. We have been so impressed with the curriculum and the excellent teachers at Reading Friends. Our oldest daughter is about to enter her fourth year at the school as a kindergartner and we have been amazed by her growth. We have also been extremely pleased with the values shared by the school and how invested the teachers are in their students’ wellbeing. It was an easy choice to sign our middle child up for Reading Friends as soon as she was ready and she is absolutely excited to start her second year. Both of our daughters have grown tremendously as learners and as people since attending Reading Friends. The teachers and administration are excellent. Our family was truly blessed to find such a wonderful team of educators to help our children learn and grow.
My four children ages 19 to 5 years old have all attended Reading Friends. I could go on and on about all the things they have learned there, but most of all they have gained a love for learning! The teachers are so nurturing and give individual attention to all their students which has left a lasting impression! You know you have found a great school when your kids are begging to go! I could think of no better place to give my children a head start in life!
I am the mom of a current Reading Friends student and a Reading Friends graduate. My family has absolutely loved this school. Reading Friends is everything you could possibly want in a preschool. It is a loving, sweet, and fun environment that both of my boys immediately felt comfortable in. I have watched both of them mature and grow in confidence because they felt supported, loved, and encouraged at Reading Friends. Every teacher and administrator contributed to their success and I can't say enough about how amazing each of them are. That alone is priceless from my perspective. Additionally, Reading Friends has an impressive academic curriculum. My son that has already graduated from Reading Friends left for Kindergarten 100% prepared. He had an excellent Kindergarten year, largely due to the fact that he was ahead academically and Reading Friends deserves full credit for that. My current student is flourishing at Reading Friends and I could not be more thrilled. If you are looking for a preschool, look no further than Reading Friends!
Reading Friends is a remarkable school for children to learn, grow, and be encouraged by teachers who truly care about their students. Every teacher is warm, caring, nurturing—simply put, they are all absolutely wonderful. In addition, the curriculum is outstanding. It is challenging, dynamic, hands-on, and engaging. When we enrolled our older boys in the Carroll school district for Kindergarten, they tested well above their grade level. It gave our boys such confidence to start school knowing they had such a solid foundation to build on. As a parent, that was priceless. Our daughter is now in her last year at Reading Friends. We have had such an amazing experience at this incredible school, it will be so bittersweet to say goodbye!
I’m very happy Reading Friends was recommended to me. My boys have started their second year there and are now in Pre K and Kindergarten. Their confidence and self esteem have both grown so much. They are all smiles when getting ready in the mornings and when getting picked up after school. My favorite part is seeing the teachers smile when they see my boys. Everyone at Reading Friends seems to genuinely care for and love these kids!
I can not say enough great things about this school! I've had 3 of my kids attend Reading Friends all with wonderful experiences. Two of my boys started here at age 2 and attended all four years up through the kindergarten program. They are both pretty reserved/timid, and thanks to the teachers here, they have grown so much in confidence, both socially and academically. One of my kids has several food allergies, and the staff/teachers were always very mindful and made sure he was included in any class parties or special snacks. Ms. Marsha & Mackensie are always very communicative by email & phone and know all of the parents & kids names by heart. The teachers have been so kind and helpful and my kids have loved them all- especially Ms. Mallory. She has been great with both my boys and has played an integral part in their early education- it's obvious she has a true passion for teaching! Our family has been extremely grateful we found this school for our kids the last 4-5 years. I could not recommend this school enough!
"As a first-time mom, I always feel a little nervous when my daughter starts somewhere new—she’s our first and only, so every transition feels huge. But from day one, the patience and kindness of the teachers and staff put us at ease. They create such a warm and nurturing environment. My daughter is always happy to go to school and walks out with a big smile on her face. I cannot thank them enough for providing such a wonderful space for her. It’s been a joy to watch our little one learn, grow, and thrive."

Meet Our Team
Marsha J. Wesley
Owner | Director
Marsha is the owner of Reading Friends Keller and knows firsthand how important it is for children to develop a strong foundation and love for learning at a young age. After her two youngest children attended preschool at Reading Friends in Fort Worth, she and her husband, Lyn, were amazed at how well prepared their children were academically and developmentally. Marsha was so impressed with the program that she jumped at the opportunity to open her own Reading Friends location when the owner, Nancy Spencer, decided to franchise her business. She opened the doors to her first Reading Friends in 2002 in Colleyville, and opened the Keller location in 2008. Marsha graduated from Texas Tech University with a BBA in Marketing and spent most of her career in yellow page sales and publishing. She and Lyn have been married over 30 years and have four children, three children-in-law, and eight grandchildren.
